Successful first-time participation at LA Festival of Books

Last April 21 – 22, 2018, the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2018 celebrated another year of literature at the University of Southern California.

In its very first participation in the LA Times Festival of Books, LitFire Publishing proudly presented over fifty books with participating authors Rudolph Vanterpool (In Job’s Sandals), Mysheria Moore (Sunrise on My Soul), Ev’one-yaY Eulasson (Between Tomorrow and Yesterday), Keith Steinbaum (The Poe Consequence), Jimmy Mosley (Outhouse to Whitehouse), Alfred Porter (The Collected Works of Alfred B. Porter), Charlyn Kent (The Theater of Life) Janet Cameron Hoult (Going to the Dogs and Other Critters), and Barak Laurie (Atheism Kills). Stationed at Booth 169 inside the USC campus, they signed, sold, and gave away copies of their books to visitors. See the full list of books on display here.

With a 23-year history, LATFOB is one of the biggest events of its kind in the region and the country. It consistently draws in nearly 150,000 readers, writers, publishers, and educators who are drawn to its panels, performances, and pop-up bookstores. This year’s star-studded stages were graced by special guests like writers Junot Diaz and Joyce Carol Oates, journalist Jorge Ramos, actress Gabrielle Union, and musician Moby.

Coming up next in LitFire Publishing’s worldwide run of book fairs and festivals is BookExpo America on May 30 – June 1, 2018, at Javits Center, New York City. Click here to learn how to participate.
